Joe Pisapia’s Hard Rock Bet of the Day: Pirates ML (-106)
Today, I’m going to go with the Pirates on the moneyline at -106. It’s a little bit of an upset spot against Aaron Nola and the Phillies.
Braxton Ashcraft is on the mound and has been absolutely dominant over the last few weeks. He’s right up there with Paul Skenes on this club in terms of strikeouts and ERA.
I’m going to roll with Ashcraft and the Pirates tonight – a little upset special for you.
Chris Welsh’s Hard Rock Bet of the Day: Sandy Alcantara 5+ K’s (-112)
People have been asking, “Are we going to play Sandy Alcantara against Colorado?” – the answer is yes.
Sandy has a 2.60 ERA in the month of June so far – that’s pretty good. He’s gone at least six innings in every single one of those starts, and in four of his last five he has hit at least five strikeouts. And wouldn’t you know it, his strikeout prop today is set at five.
I don’t hate the juice. I love this number, especially against a Colorado Rockies team that is bottom six in the league in strikeouts per game.
Sandy is not the biggest strikeout guy – not that he ever has been – but he has been hitting this number all month. This is a Rockies team that strikes out a bunch, and Sandy has been pretty solid as of late.
That is my Hard Rock Bet of the Day.
